First of all, I would like to point that this PolitIQ MA program offers a great opportunity to learn in depth the specific features of the Post-Soviet region. Moreover, I would also like to stress that different approaches, which are represented by an international board of professors on the program, stimulate academic unbiased discussions.
I have never had any regrets that I became a part of this specific program. If you plan to work as an expert in Post-Soviet or Eurasian region, then I believe PolitIQ program will be the best choice for you.

I’m an Italian student of this master’s programme. I just want to say that if you want to deeply understand political and international dynamics in Post-Soviet Space this is the best choice. Despite being a new and rather unusual project for MSU, it has great potentialities. 22th of April Lomonov MSU and MGIMO signed an agreement on collaboration in operating our MA. This is a historic moment: the first experience of such a collaboration between the two main Russian universities. Moscow State University’s new two-year “Post-Soviet Policy” masters program, taught in the
Department of Public Policy, under the auspices of the Faculty of Political Science, is where this new
generation of specialists will be trained. The program will combine the practical with the fundamental.
Exposure to modern political science methods and frameworks of analysis will occur parallel with a deep
exploration of basic political, economic and social trends underway in different post-Soviet states. The
curriculum will focus on both the foreign and domestic policy spheres and what is required to formulate
effective policy in both domains.
