First of all, I would like to point that this PolitIQ MA program offers a great opportunity to learn in depth the specific features of the Post-Soviet region. Moreover, I would also like to stress that different approaches, which are represented by an international board of professors on the program, stimulate academic unbiased discussions.

I’m an Italian student of this master’s programme. I just want to say that if you want to deeply understand political and international dynamics in Post-Soviet Space this is the best choice. Despite being a new and rather unusual project for MSU, it has great potentialities. The great and vary cohort of visiting professors is an opportunity to build network with professionals in leading universities like Oxford or Harvard.

Moscow State University’s new two-year “Post-Soviet Policy” masters program, taught in the
Department of Public Policy, under the auspices of the Faculty of Political Science, is where this new
generation of specialists will be trained. The program will combine the practical with the fundamental.
Exposure to modern political science methods and frameworks of analysis will occur parallel with a deep
exploration of basic political, economic and social trends underway in different post-Soviet states. The
curriculum will focus on both the foreign and domestic policy spheres and what is required to formulate
effective policy in both domains.

The launch of a new educational program on political science PolitIQ is one of the stages of systemic work aimed at increasing the prestige of Russian political science education and the development of the national school of political science. Our main task today is to prepare and give the necessary knowledge to the younger generation, which has to cope with the challenges of modern development at the global and national levels.

Our joint educational program on political science PolitIQ with the Moscow State University is a measure of support for Russian and foreign students in obtaining a high-quality political science education of the world level, facilitating the emergence of a new formation of political scientists who professionally and objectively assess the world political processes, taking into account the diversity of different cultures and national traditions.
